Anand Deverakonda, right in the early phases of his career, is proving that he has a good taste for quality cinema. Be it his uncoventional debut with Dorasani or his middle-class simplicity in Middle Class Melodies or the crime thriller Pushpaka Vimanam, he has chosen distinct scripts and is trusting audiences to get what he's doing. Success or failure, he has remained undeterred and looks like he's showing the same courage with his upcoming films as well - Baby, Gam Gam Ganesha and Highway. The first look of the actor in all the three films was launched commemorating his birthday.

Baby, directed by Hrudaya Kaleyam fame Sai Rajesh, has Anand teaming up with Viraj Ashwin and Vaishnavi Chaitanya for a peculiar love story bankrolled by SKN. The black-and-white poster has him holding a withered rose and has a dejected look on his face, like a jolted lover and the makers throw hints of a unique love triangle in the offing. The film was launched last year and is expected to have a release in the latter half of 2022.

This is a complete contrast to Anand Deverakonda's look in Highway, a film written, cinematographed and directed by KV Guhan. The film has him paired alongside Manasa Radhakrishnan and also features Abhishek Banerjee, John Vijay, Saiyami Kher in key roles. Anand is seen sitting on a rock in a surreal location and having a good time. While the film is a crime thriller, the apparant pleasantness in the poster leaves you slightly surprised. Highway has already completed shoot and is gearing up to hit theatres shortly.

The actor is equally pumped up about his other film Gam Gam Ganesha as well, directed by first-time filmmaker Uday Shetty. In a poster that appears to be more like a silhouette, Anand is introduced as Ganesh in the film and he has damaged shades, with a band-aid on his forehead and has a cigarette. The makers, Hylife Entertainments, suggest that Anand will be seen in a full-on action mode in the film. A hilarious video calling for auditions was also launched by the team recently.

All said and done, Anand Deverakonda has got his priorities right and he's planning to offer audiences a lot of variety with his films in 2022 and 2023.
