Anchal Singh says after role in Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein, she does not have to ‘knock on doors‘ to prove her talent

Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein’s first season was released on Netflix and the web series impressed its fans. Anchal Singh who plays Purva in the show, has now opened up about life after the show. 

Talking to India Today, she said, “The inquisitiveness of people about me is what I have got from Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein, and it is a very satisfying feeling. The show has given validation to my journey.”

She added that now she no longer has to go knock at the doors of directors with her portfolio of work. From a nobody to Anchal Singh, the journey has been quite long but now she can finally relax, said the actor. 

Before her hit Netflix show, Singh had worked with big names such as Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Hrithik Roshan, and Sonakshi Sinha in multiple TV commercials. The actor also starred in the Sri Lankan film Sri Siddhartha Gautama, where she played Princess Yashodhara. The film also went on to be the biggest grosser in the country.

Singh will also be seen in the second season of SonyLIV's Undekhi, reprising her role as Teji Grewal. The first season of the crime thriller web series gave the actor her big debut. 

Created and directed by Sidharth Sengupta, Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein also stars Tahir Raj Bhasin, Shweta Tripathi, Surya Sharma, Saurabh Shukla, Brijendra Kala and Arunoday Singh among others. 

The show, which captured the interest of the fans, has been renewed for a second season by the streaming giants . The eight episode first season of the show is available to stream on Netflix.
