Hasmukh notices the rift in Anuj and Anupama’s relationship ever since the Shahs arrived at the Kapadia house. As Hasmukh travels with Anuj, the former decides to have a candid chat with the latter.

Hasmukh tells Anuj that he and Anupama are not made to disagree with each other, and encourages the two to sort out their differences. He talks about how the duo fell in love with each other’s personalities and how there seems to be very little wrong with their pairing. He advises that instead of trying to change each other, they ought to try to change the circumstances which made them drift apart.

Anupama gets saddened by the fact that the entire family cannot be together for the New Year. Ankush decides to keep her company to keep her mind off of it, and the two discuss new year resolutions. Ankush then tells her that although he and Barkha may have arguments from time to time, Anuj and Anupama are not a couple like that. He tells her to try and sort out her differences with Anuj.

Anuj tells Hasmukh that the problem he has is the fact that Anupama sometimes neglects Choti Anu, while running around the Shahs. Hasmukh says that he just wants to see everyone happy after his passing. Anuj promises that he will not let anything happen to his and Anupama’s relationship.

After Anuj drops Hasmukh off, the latter seems to get into a terrible accident. Back at the Kapadia house, Baa is worried sick since Hasmukh has not come home till late. Baa calls up Vanraj and tells him that Hasmukh is missing. Vanraj decides to go home as quickly as possible, and becomes furious with Kavya.

Even after hours of searching, Hasmukh is nowhere to be found. Just then Vanraj arrives, and Baa blames Anuj for what happened. Soon a full blown argument takes place between the Shahs and the Kapadias.
