Anupamaa: Rakhi reveals her own tragic story and gives Kinjal strength

Anupamaa continues the saga of strong women finding their voice after years of being suppressed. The last few episodes saw Kinjal decide to put her foot down when it comes to Paritosh, and announce that she was finally divorcing him. Although the Shahs protested her decision, she found support from both Anupama as well as Rakhi. Kinjal decides to stay at the Shahs until the divorce is finalised, and Rakhi assures Anupama that she (Rakhi) will stay to take care of her daughter.

Rakhi tries to support and care for her daughter as best as she can, and tearfully tells Kinjal her own tragic story of being betrayed by the one she loves. Rakhi tells her daughter that Kinjal’s father had cheated on the former as well. But Rakhi had found out about it when she had been pregnant with Kinjal. To ensure that Kinjal did not find out about her father’s betrayal, Rakhi had hidden the truth from her daughter and lived under the same roof with a man she did not love. Kinjal is moved to tears by the revelation.

Anupama and Anuj are invited to the Shah house for Pari’s first Navratri celebrations. The couple are given quite a fright when Choti Anu goes missing for a while when she was playing hide and seek.

Paritosh, who is seething with anger thinking about the prospect of losing his wife and daughter, comes up with a sinister plan for taking revenge on Anupama, whom he blames for his misfortunes. The height of Paritosh’s malevolence becomes clear when Anupama and Anuj are visited by people from the foster agency, who say that they have received a complaint that Choti Anu is not being taken care of properly. Anupama and Anuj are left shocked at the prospect of having Choti Anu being taken away from them.
