The movie Pathaan is scheduled to open in theatres on January 25. Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham play the leading roles in the YRF-backed film. With Pathaan, YRF's Spy Universe will also be formally introduced, and Tiger and War, two already well-known franchises, will be included into it in the near future. When asked whether one should see Pathaan or the Republic Day parade on January 26 first during a recent 'Ask SRK' session on Twitter, SRK had the appropriate answer. SRK has been connecting with fans ahead of the release of Pathaan on social media.
When his movie opens on January 25, SRK has been urging fans to watch it in theatres in large numbers. But when a fan inquired whether they should watch Pathaan or the Republic Day parade first, SRK, in the spirit of a great patriot, put the country first. He said, "26 Jan ki parade bahut important hoti hai. It gives us an opportunity to respect our Republic. After the parade u will enjoy #Pathaan even more so see it later (sic)."
Up to 2 lakh tickets were sold on day one after Pathaan's advance booking began on January 20, five days before the film's release. It is anticipated that the film would bring in huge box office collections. Additionally, SRK responded to his followers on Twitter who posted pictures from theatres where they had bought several tickets. Take a look at some of the tweets here:
