We had reported recently that Rahman and Sarath Kumar might be roped in to essay important characters in Atharvaa's next project which will have Karthick Naren at the helm. The makers have now confirmed the same officially. They released a first look poster of the movie, too, featuring the three actors.
The film titled Nirangal Moondru is being bankrolled by K Karunamoorthy of Ayngaran International. Tijo Tomy will handle cinematography for the film which has music by Jakes Bejoy and editing by Sreejith Sarang. Don Ashok has been roped in to choreograph action sequences for the project, which according to Karthick, is a hyperlink thriller.
Atharvaa took to his social media page to express excitement over working for the movie with Karthick. Sharing its first look poster he tweeted, "Very happy to be teaming up with @karthicknaren_M ! Presenting the First Look of #NirangalMoondru (sic)." The movie, which is the director's fifth feature film, is the production house' 25th film.
Karthick's second film, Naragasooran, is yet to see the light of the day while his recently completed Maaran, starring Dhanush in the lead, is expected to release directly on a leading OTT platform. It is heard that an announcement on its digital release will be made soon by the makers.
Nirangal Moondru brings together Rahman and Karthick for the second time after the latter's debut directorial flick Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru (streaming on Amazon Prime Video). Both Rahman and Sarath Kumar will be next seen in Mani Ratnam's ambitious project Ponniyin Selvan.
Atharvaa, on the other hand, has Sri Ganesh's Kuruthi Aattam and Sam Anton's Trigger in his kitty. The former, which was supposed to release last month, backed out in the last minute, and is now expected to hit the screens in January or February.
