Salman Khan has been making headlines lately not for his movies but for the threats that he has been receiving from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Despite getting threats, the superstar has been fulfilling his professional commitments. Renowned politician Baba Siddique was shot dead on October 12 outside the Bandra East office of his son, Zeeshan Siddique. The tragic incident shocked the entire country. Now, the latest update reveals that shooters had planned to kill Salman Khan before Siddique.

Shooters wanted to kill Salman Khan before Baba Siddique?

Baba Siddique was killed by three assailants who fired at him in Bandra. He was rushed to the Lilavati hospital but was declared brought dead. Now, according to India Today, the accused, during the interrogation, revealed that Salman Khan's name was on their list. They wanted to kill the Bajrangi Bhaijaan actor before gunning down the NCP leader. The accused reportedly told the officials that they couldn't kill Salman due to his tight security arrangements.

Lawrence Bishnoi took responsibility for Baba Siddique's murder

In a Facebook post, a gang member of Lawrence Bishnoi took responsibility for Siddique's murder. A part of the post read, "Salman Khan, we did not want this war but you made our brother lose his life. Today the pool of decency of Baba Siddique is closed or at one time he was under MCOCA (Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act) with Dawood. The reason for his death was his links to Dawood and Anuj Thapan in Bollywood, politics, and property dealings. We have no personal enmity with anyone. However, anyone who helps Salman Khan or the Dawood gang should be prepared. If anyone gets any of our brothers killed, we will respond."

Meanwhile, Salman was shooting for his film Sikandar on December 4 in Mumbai's Dadar area. A man illegally entered the shooting location. On being questioned by the officials, he made a remark using Bishnoi's name. He asked, "Bishnoi ko bulaau kya?" In no time, the officials took the man to Shivaji Park's police station for further investigation.
