Banaras, which is reportedly a big project, comes from filmmaker Jayathirtha, who made movies like Bell Bottom and Beautiful Manasugalu.
The makers of the pan-India movie have now released a first look motion poster. The first look of the film is intriguing, with it starting off with some animated visuals of the famed city.
It then takes a dip into the river, where broken remains of the city can be seen, providing a feel of desolation and destruction. Once the camera pops back up, we see Zaid Khan and Sonal Monteiro holding and staring at each other's eyes in romance.
The movie marks the debut of Zaid Khan, who is the son of D(S) legislator Zameer Ahmed Khan.
Written and directed by Jayathirtha, the movie will be his next after the 2019 hit crime comedy Bell Bottom, which starred Rishab Shetty.
Banaras, which has been extensively shot in its namesake, is produced by Tilakraj Ballal and co-produced by Muzammil Ahmed Khan. The movie also stars Sujay Shastry, Devaraj, Achyuth Kumar, Sapna Raj, Barkath Ali.
The music for is composed by B. Ajaneesh Loknath, while Advaitha Gurumurthy and K. M. Prakash is the cinematographer and editor respectively.
