Govinda Naam Mera | Bhumi Pednekar: Feels amazing to be one of the most prolific actors in the Hindi film industry today

After the success of Badhaai Do and Raksha Bandhan, Bhumi Pednekar is ready to end the year 2022 with the movie Govinda Naam Mera. But for her, the criminal comedy directed by Shashank Khaitan is more of a beginning than the end of a year. After the Vicky Kaushal and Kiara Advani-starring movie, Pednekar will release six more movies: Bheed, Bhakshak, The Lady Killer, Afwaah, Mere Husband Ki Biwi, and an untitled one.

During an interaction with Mid Day, Bhumi said that it feels fantastic to be one of the most productive actors in the Hindi cinema industry now, while talking about how busy 2023 would be. The actor is happy that her perseverance and hard work have allowed her to get where she is. Bhumi has no regrets about the journey, despite being an absolute outsider.

Despite coming from various realms, her characters are connected by a common thread. The actor has often played strong-willed women. In Saand Ki Aankh (2019), she played an older sniper, and in Dum Laga Ke Haisha (2015), she played a woman who was comfortable with her size. According to Pednekar, the roles are an extension of her principles.

The actor went on to say that playing different types of women with such a wide range of issues is a wonderful experience. Since her first acting job, she has liked the challenge of playing characters with goals, passions, and strength. Bhumi's beliefs are reflected in the next movies she plans to see and the roles she plays. She aims to successfully represent women on screen. She is over the moon that some of the best directors in the country now trust her to give standout performances.

Bhumi is getting ready for the release of her next movie, Govinda Naam Mera, which will also star Vicky Kaushal and Kiara Advani. The film will premiere on December 16 on Disney+ Hotstar.
