Bigg Boss Telugu delighted its fans recently when it unveiled its new promo video featuring none other than Tollywood heavyweight Nagarjuna Akkineni, making a comeback as show host. As if the invigorating promo, which shows the legendary actor brandishing a gun in the face of boredom wasn’t enough to get fans excited, the promo also featured vocals by Bigg Boss season 3 winner and playback singer Rahul Sipligunj. This got the fans to don their detective hats and speculate that the track might be a clue hinting at Sipligunj’s return to the fan-favourite show.
Rahul Siplgunj had emerged as the winner on Bigg Boss 3 and also featured as host in one of the segments of the reality series, called Bigg Boss Buzz, in its fourth season. The playback singer, whose independent music on Youtube became a hit, had gained more popularity while on the show, which ultimately led to his victory. Fans would be more than happy to welcome him back with open arms when he reprises his role as a host of BB Buzz for this season as well. But according to a report by Filmi Beat, there are talks that either Ariyana Glory or Sayed Sohel would replace the singer as host of the segment.
Bigg Boss Telugu 5 is reported to hit screens on September 5, although an official announcement of the same is yet to be made. There are also rumours that actors Isha Chawla, Varshini Sounderajan, Surekha Vani, social media star Shanmukh Jaswanth and anchor Ravi will also join the show.
As was the case with previous seasons, the upcoming season would also reportedly be aired on Star Maa, and be made available for streaming on Disney+Hotstar.
