The DCEU has a slate of exciting projects lined up, and among one of them is Black Adam starring Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. The studio released the first official trailer for the movie earlier this week and the actor has now taken to social media to thank fans for making it a success.

The professional wrestler turned actor took to Instagram to share a short video with the fans, thanking them for making the trailer a big hit. The actor points out in the video that the trailer has a 98% positive global review and that while he has released some big projects in the past such as Jungle Cruise, Jumanji and Hobbs and Shaw, fans have taken Black Adam to a different stratosphere.

“For over 10+ years I’ve worked my ass off for the Black Adam Universe and now a new era in the DC Universe is ushering in”, he also wrote as part of the video’s caption.

The makers released the trailer on Wednesday, and it features a detailed look into what fans can expect from the trailer. The movie features Johnson as Black Adam, an antihero from the fictional world of Kahndaq who rises to power in the modern world, after being brought back to life after 5000 years.

Johnson has been linked with a Black Adam movie for over a decade now, after being linked to play Captain Marvel. As the Black Adam movie finally prepares for a release, the superhero flick also stars Pierce Brosnan, Noah Centineo, Quintessa Swindell and Aldis Hodge among others in important roles.

The movie, which becomes the eleventh movie in the DC Extended Universe, is set to hit theatres on October 21, 2022.
