Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s much-awaited movie Brahmastra has finally released in theatres. The film is expected to earn a total of Rs. 37 crores all India gross on day one. In fact, it is expected to earn at least Rs. 30 crores net (could go up to Rs. 32 crores) on its opening day.

Ormax Media has reported that the movie will mint Rs. 37 crores all India gross (all languages). Obviously, the Hindi belt is expected to be the largest contributor but the regional languages are also expected to perform well, given the current circumstance.

The advance bookings for Brahmastra Part One: Shiva have seen fantastic numbers. This promises that the movie will open on a high, even more than Alia’s Gangubai Kathiawadi.

In fact, if the prediction comes right, then Brahmastra will be the best post-pandemic opening film. Only Hrithik Roshan-Tiger Shroff’s WAR could mint that sum on the opening day and that film was pre-pandemic.

The Ayan Mukerji directorial is expected to collect at least Rs. 75 crores over the weekend. The movie should be able to make history and easily beat Akshay’s Sooryavanshi Box Office collection (which is the highest in post-pandemic era).

Brahmastra is the first installment in Ayan’s Astraverse. The film sees Ranbir in the role of Shiva, who is a DJ by profession. However, Shiva has come to know that he has a supernatural connection with fire.

Produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, the movie also stars Amitabh Bachchan in the lead role. Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy will also be seen in pivotal roles in the film. Shah Rukh Khan has a cameo appearance in this movie, which released in theatres on September 9.
