The trailer for the docudrama series based on the life and journey of Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi is finally out. Created by Nitesh Tiwari and Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, the trailer of Break Point features the tennis legends talking about their journey together. It also features another tennis star Sania Mirza talking about LeeHesh and how she was a fan of them while growing up. In the trailer, both Mahesh and Leander are seen in two different frames while narrating their story.
Both of them talk about the bromance they shared onfield and how they didn't get along off-field. This led their marriage of creating records into a divorce. Attaining numero uno position across the globe, their breakup sent shockwaves instantly. Some fans still miss the LeeHesh moments on the tennis court. Interestingly with the docudrama series, fans for the first time will witness the inside story of Leander and Mahesh's bromance, triumphs and break-up.
Earlier, during an exclusive interaction with OTTPlay, Ashwiny had dished out details about the LeeHesh docudrama and what fans can expect from the series. The filmmaker stated, "We are finished with the docuseries, we are right now under post-production. So that's how it is and through the pandemic, we have worked on the LeHesh stories."
Iyer-Tiwari further said, "Very exciting because there's a story of the greatest world doubles champions in India, which needed to be told. Also, it's an inspiration and aspiration for a lot of youngsters who want to play sports as a career. It's also an inspiration for the do's and don'ts for a lot of partnerships, teamwork, and as a growing nation with a lot of youngsters a lot of dreams, it's important to tell their story. "
Break Point is set to stream on ZEE5 from October 1, 2021.
