Today, on March 3, however, the suspense was broken as the agency announced that BTS' V will be releasing his new single called 'FRI(END)S'. The song is set to be released on March 15, 2024. The agency posted the poster for the single, which is in pink and features the word 'END' of 'friend' in brackets.
According to a press release, "The song 'FRI(END)S' is rooted in the Pop Soul R&B genre and delivers relatable, witty romance through lyrics written entirely in English. The vivid pink background hints at the song's sweet mood".

ARMY had already drawn connections between the clips and the photos Taehyung posted during his trip to London late last year. Regardless of the speculation, fans are eagerly anticipating hearing Taehyung's soulful voice again.
Taehyung, along with his bandmates RM, Jimin, Jin, Jungkook, Suga, and J-Hope, are fulfilling their obligation of enlisting in the South Korean mandatory military service. He is currently serving in the special forces of the 2nd Army Corps, stationed in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province. His enlistment is scheduled to conclude on June 10, 2025, coinciding with the anticipated comeback of him and his bandmates.

Despite being in the military, he has managed to produce numerous pieces of content, enough to keep ARMY on the edge of their seats. His collaboration with veteran Hong Kong actor and director Jackie Chan for an ad promoting the stock and trading app SimInvest, for which he serves as the brand ambassador, also went viral.
On March 3, he shared a video on his Instagram story of BTS' dance practice for their hit single "Permission to Dance" captioned in Korean and translated to convey, "ARMYs, you haven't forgotten about me, right? I'm still here, okay? Please think of us from time to time, alright?"
In 2023, V, like his fellow members, he too made his solo debut with the album 'Layover,' which includes hit songs such as 'Slow Dancing,' 'Love Me Again,' and 'Rainy Days.'
