Chattambi Trailer Talk: This Sreenath Bhasi-Starrer Is Full Of Mysteries

Set in Idukki, Chattambi is centered around Kariah, a powerful man who is feared by many. Though we do not get to see Kariah’s face until the post-title card sequence, his strong presence is felt throughout the film’s trailer.

The trailer introduces us to its central characters John, a businessman, and Muniyandi, a farmer who wants to grow weed. But all that they discuss is Kariah, his arrest, his disappearance, his arrival, among other things. We learn that Kariah has helped John rise to power by singlehandedly defeating his enemies. Someone else is warned to not step out unnecessarily as Kariah is roaming around the area. Police officers and politicians say that if Kariah is caught, it will benefit them. But who is Kariah? What has he done to so many people?

These mysteries are slated to unravel in the theatres on September 23.

Chattambi marks the directorial debut of Abhilash S Kumar who penned the screenplays for 22 Female Kottayam and Da Thadiya. Based on true events, the story is conceived by Don Palathara. The screenplay is penned by Alex Joseph, who also handles the camera. The film stars Sreenath Basi, Chemban Vinod Jose, Grace Antony, Mythili, Guru Somasundaram, and Binu Pappu. This mystery thriller is produced by Assif Yogi has music by Sekhar Menon and cuts by Joel Kavi.
