Chiranjeevi has always shared a friendly, amiable rapport with the media through his career and has stood up for the fraternity in the hour of need on many occasions. Now, he has a word of praise for Telugu film journalist Ramesh Chinnamula, who's completed a Ph.D in mass communication, in which he's focused on Shyam Benegal's contribution to the depiction of social issues within Telangana. The journalist has named the star the key inspiration behind his research.
Under the guidance of professor K Siva Shankar, Ramesh Chinnamula's Ph.D was 'An analytical study on the depiction of social issues in Shyam Benegal films: The Telangana context' The journalist with a two-decade media experience had met Chiranjeevi recently. Chiranjeevi, in a heartfelt personal note, added, "I am happy you earned a Ph.D with such great effort. Beyond your journalism, you've stood as an example for your pathbreaking research. Your work will inspire many more people in the times to come."
Expressing his happiness about the Ph.D, he said, "I'm happy to be the first-ever Telugu film journalist to hold a Ph.D in mass communication. An interview with Chiranjeevi during his film Stalin inspired me to take up this research. The encouragement he had given me when I met him after earning the Ph.D is invaluable. I thank journalists Prabhu, L Pradeep, Professor K Siva Shankar and Mamidi Harikrishna, Director of Language and Culture, Telangana, industry and media friends for their support."
On the work front, Chiranjeevi, who last acted in Acharya, will be seen in three films in the next 12 months - Godfather, Bholaa Shankar and an untitled film with director Bobby. He has also given his consent for films to be directed by Sukumar, Maruthi and Venky Kudumula.
