Chunky Panday: Tap Tap reminds me of the time my career started

Chunky Panday is all set to return as a lead actor with his upcoming short film Tap Tap. The movie is a part of a series Shuruaat Ka Twist, which comprises shorts that feature actors Neena Gupta, Esha Deol and Hina Khan.

Tap Tap is the story of a music director who is on the verge of being forgotten. He has to prove himself again and the film shows his desperate attempts to revive his career.

Talking about the movie, Chunky said, "The story is very similar to how my career started. I saw many lows in my career. I also had to find work in the Bangladesh industry."

When asked what title would he prefer if a biopic was made on him, the actor cheekily replied, 'Apna Sapna Money Money'. The movie which starred Riteish Deshmukh and Celine Jaitley in the lead roles was released in 2006. It also starred Chunky Pandey in a pivotal role.

Meanwhile, Neena Gupta, who is also part of Shuruaat Ka Twist, said she would like Nicole Kidman to play her in the biopic titled 'Kuch Samajh Mein Nahi Aaya'.

Esha Deol's Ek Duaa releases a day after Shuruaat Ka Twist. The actress is also producing the movie. Expressing her happiness, she shared, "I was just happy to be a part of a project where I could address this important issue, especially after experiencing motherhood."

If at all a biopic was made on her, Esha expressed her interest to play herself in the movie titled either Rock & Roller, Roller Coaster or Keep On Rolling. Answering a similar question, Hina Khan, who will be seen in Lines, said she would want to act in her biopic and prefers it to be titled either Still A Lot To Go or Hina Meena Geeta.

Shuruaat Ka Twist, consisting of six short films, Ek Duaa as well as Lines are a part of the Voot Select Film Festival. They will stream on Voot on July 25, 26 and 29 respectively.
