Deepika Padukone TROLLED for hosting Gehraiyaan success bash, netizens ask ‘kis baat ki success party?’

Deepika Padukone recently hosted the success bash for her film Gehraiyaan. The movie directly released on Amazon Prime Video and has been receiving mixed reviews. While a few loved the film, many had other opinions about the movie.

The second category of netizens trolled Deepika for hosting a success bash with the cast and crew of Gehraiyaan. Photographer Varinder Chawla shared pictures from the event, which is when the comments started pouring in.

Most of these netizens were left wondering how did Gehraiyaan become a success. One user even stated that the makers had a ‘super flop party’.

Deepika hosted the success bash in Mumbai. Her co-actors Ananya Panday and Siddhant Chaturvedi were seen at the bash. Director Shakun Batra was also an important person at the party. He in fact shared pictures from the bash too.

Gehraiyaan opted for a direct-to-OTT release on Amazon Prime Video. The movie, produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, also starred Dhairya Karwa in a pivotal role.

The film is Deepika’s movie in a lead role two years after Chhapaak’s release. The actress was seen in a cameo appearance in Ranveer Singh-starring film 83. Deepika was associated with the movie in the role of a producer too, which was not the case with Gehraiyaan.

Post Gehraiyaan, Deepika is working with Hrithik Roshan on Siddharth Anand’s Fighter. The movie, which will mark their first ever collaboration, is scheduled to release on Republic Day i.e. January 26, 2023.

Fighter is likely to clash with two other major releases. Both John Abraham-Dinesh Vijan’s Tehran and Ranbir Kapoor-Luv Ranjan’s untitled next have opted for the same release date as Fighter. However, it remains to be seen if there will actually be a clash of the titans on the given day.
