Dhanush's Vaathi teaser out; the actor shines as a lecturer set to reform the education system

The much-awaited teaser of Dhanush's bilingual Vaathi (Sir in Telugu) was launched today, on the occasion of Dhanush's birthday. . The teaser is a perfect mishmash of action and emotion, along with a series of punch dialogues. It begins with a voiceover by Samuthirakani, which is, 'Zero fees...Zero education...More fees...More education...This is the trend now,' to which a lecturer responds, 'If we let the best lecturers in our college leave for government colleges, who'll come to study here?' 'We're only letting third-grade lecturers leave," says Samuthirakani's voiceover.

Soon, we are introduced to Dhanush's character Balamuragan, a junior lecturer at a private educational institution. His introductory dialogue goes 'Sir..myself Balamurugan...I'm a junior lecturer at Tirupathi Educational Institute." Going by the teaser, it looks like Dhanush is all set to reform the education system in the film and takes on the unfair practices within the education system. We also hear him saying, "Education is like an offering you give to people in a temple...Share it with everyone. Don't sell it like a five-star hotel dish.' 

Dhanush appears in a number of looks and intriguing action sequences. The teaser has come as a feast for his fans with a perfect balance of mass and class elements and as a perfect birthday gift. Venky Atluri is the writer and director of the film that's nearing completion. Samyuktha Menon plays the lead lady in it. The star cast includes Sai Kumar, Tanikella Bharani, Samuthirakani, Thotapalli Madhu, Narra Srinivas, Pammi Sai, Hyper Aadhi, Shara, Aadukalam Naren, Ilavarasu, Mottai Rajendran, Hareesh Peradi and Praveena. J Yuvraj has cranked the camera, while GV Prakash has come up with the background score. Navin Nooli has handled the editing.

Suryadevara Naga Vamsi of the popular banner Sithara Entertainments is joining forces with Sai Soujanya of Fortune Four Cinemas for Vaathi, which is presented by Srikara Studios.
