The much awaited Drushyam 2 has finally premiered on Amazon Prime Video, and fans have certainly a lot to say about the Venkatesh Daggubati starrer. Twitter was rife with fans’ opinions regarding the film, and general consensus seems to be in favour of the Jeethu Joseph directorial.

Netizens seemed to have nothing but good things to say of the crime drama, with special mention being directed at the film’s script, ending and Daggubati’s performance. The only minor criticism seemed to be directed at the film’s first half, which viewers felt was a bit dragging compared to the second. The film’s soundtrack too failed to dazzle some viewers

Among the flood of praises fans heaped onto the film, one common thread was seen in most, if not all, of the positive reviews. The climax of the film was lauded by viewers for how unexpected and well done it was, with one even calling it the ‘greatest climax in Indian film history’.

Daggubati’s performance was singled out by his die hard fans. His performance was not only referred to as ‘unmatchable’, but many viewers also chimed in to say that the film was indeed his ‘one man show’.

Fans did not leave out the compliments for Joseph’s direction and writing abilities either. The filmmaker’s ‘out of the box thinking’ was credited with delivering the film’s engaging and intense story.

A remake of the 2014 film, Drushyam 2 tells the story of an ordinary family who has to deal with the repercussions of a tragic incident from their past which almost got them arrested. The film premiered on Amazon Prime Video on December 25.
