Dulquer, Mrunal's romantic drama Sita Ramam continues to attract audience, earns 75 crores at the box office

The box office performance of Hanu Raghavapudi's Sita Ramam has surprised the trade ever since its first day of release, thanks to positive responses the film garnered from critics and movie lovers. The romantic drama, starring Dulquer Salmaan and Mrunal Thakur in lead roles, was released on August 5 along with another hit Telugu movie and went on to reap success in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam.

The performances of actors, captivating cinematography and engaging screenplay were appreciated by film buffs and the movie slowly and steadily started showing signs of growth at the box office.

The makers have now announced that Sita Ramam has grossed 75 crores from across the world. A week ago, they had released a poster informing that the film grossed 65 crores. It looks like the poor reviews for Vijay Deverakonda's Liger would be a big boost for Sita Ramam and Karthikeya 2.

Dulquer, Mrunal and Hanu among others took to their social media pages to thank the audience for their continuous support. The film's Hindi version will be released in theatres on September 2. Fans of Dulquer and other film lovers are eager to see how the movie's Hindi version would perform.

The movie marks Mrunal Thakur's debut in Telugu and Dulquer's second outing in Tollywood. Sumanth, Rashmika Mandanna, Tharun Bhascker, Gautham Menon, Vennela Kishore and Murali Sharma among others essay pivotal characters in the project which has music composed by Vishal Chandrasekhar.

PS Vinod and Shreyaas Krishna have handled cinematography for the movie which has editing by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao. C Aswani Dutt and Swapna have bankrolled the film under the banners of Vyjayanthi Movies and Swapna Cinema.
