The makers of Suzhal - The Vortex have been promoting the project aggressively for the last few days by unveiling interesting promo videos. They have now released a video song from the series which is dropping on Amazon Prime Video on June 17.
Titled Duvaa Duvaa, the song has BTS moments of all five singers crooning for it apart from a few intriguing shots from the series, featuring intense expressions of its lead actors Aishwarya Rajesh, Parthiban, Sriya Reddy and Kathir. Andrea Jeremiah, Jonita Gandhi, composer Sam CS, Arivu and Lavita Lobo have lent voice for the track which has been penned by Kaber Vasuki.
Going by the mysterious genre of the track, this is likely to appear in a crucial juncture of the series which is touted as an investigative thriller. Its story revolves around the puzzling disappearance of a young girl after which the people in a small town become terrified like never before.
How the disappearance of the child is connected to every other person in town and the mysterious resemblance of the incident to a case which happened a few decades ago form the rest of the story. Filmmaker duo Pushkar-Gayatri has penned the screenplay for the project which has been helmed by Bramman and Anucharan.
Pushkar-Gayatri themselves have bankrolled the series under Wallwatcher Films. They had revealed recently that it took two years for them to write the screenplay for Suzhal - The Vortex and one year for shooting it.
This is the first Tamil series which Amazon Prime Video is coming up with. The OTT platform had announced about the project a couple of months ago at a special event where they surprised movie buffs by revealing about a host of films and series that they are going to release soon.
