Harleen Sethi is best remembered for her role in Broken But Beautiful.
Harleen Sethi, who became a known face on OTT thanks to her stint in Broken But Beautiful, is now all set to be seen in The Gone Game 2. The actress spoke to OTTplay in an exclusive chat about how the digital world has been a blessing for those who did not get an opportunity previously.
“OTT has been a blessing to many people in the industry. They have work thanks to the platform. It’s become a level-playing field now. Even your A-list stars are also doing something on OTT. The newcomers are getting a chance to audition. The writers get an opportunity,” she said.
The actress added, “Previously, it would just be a Salman Khan or Aamir Khan film, but now the scenario has changed. Their cinema will always be relevant, but the society and people are opening up to new faces and stories. They are connecting with it. It’s a joy to be in the industry at this point in time.”
When further probed if she thinks the platform provides opportunity to actors who did not get an opportunity with monopoly of cinema, the actress shared, “Yes, newcomers are getting a better opportunity on OTT, but because it is a level-playing field, even Pratik Gandhi will work in films. Right now, the lines have become blurred. Shahid Kapoor is also doing OTT. It could possibly be because OTT has more content than films and lesser stakes than films. The platform gives everybody the opportunity to show their art.”
For the uninitiated, Salman Khan is among the first Khans to have released his movie Radhe on an OTT platforms since the COVID-19 pandemic and theatres being shut down.
Meanwhile, Harleen will be seen in The Test Case 2 after The Gone Game 2.
