Lock Upp’s ex-kaidi Ali Mercchant had developed a bond with almost all kaidis in the house. When he was evicted from the show, Payal Rohatgi, who has been tagged as the most badass player of Kangana Ranaut’s show, ended up in tears. Ali spoke to OTTplay about her and said that she is the second strongest player on Lock Upp after Munawar Faruqui and she could have won if he wasn’t there.

“Payal 100% has what it takes to win the show, if Munawar wasn't in it. My vote will obviously go for Munawar but the second strongest contestant is Payal. She went in the negative zone for the first five weeks. We wondered why she went the opposite way but the way she showed a 360 degree transformation and changed things for her benefit, I respect her a lot for putting in the efforts,” Ali said.

He also spoke about where he and Payal connected. It was them trying to make a comeback after many years. Ali then shared, “I understand the pain of an actor who wants to make a comeback after many years. It is where Payal and me connected for sure. If I see the game from day one and have to talk about the person who is amazing since then, is entertaining and all his emotions are coming on the show, that is Munawar.”

Ali was evicted a few days before Poonam Pandey. The two were in the bottom two and Kangana Ranaut decided to give Poonam another chance. Unfortunately, when Poonam was competing with Saisha, she could not match up to her and thus, not Poonam but Saisha almost made it to the finale. The designer was evicted right before the grand finale.

Currently, Lock Upp Badass Finale will see six finalists compete with each other. These finalists are Munawar, Payal, Anjali Arora, Prince Narula, Shivam Sharma and Azma Fallah.

The grand finale takes place at 10.30 pm tonight. It can be streamed on AltBalaji and MX Player.
