Exclusive! Indrans, Aju Varghese, Vijay Babu in Anjaam Pathiraa director Midhun Manuel Thomas’ next

While director Midhun Manuel Thomas was set to helm big projects as Aadu 3 and the Bollywood remake of his own film Anjaam Pathira, the pandemic has delayed those films, and made the filmmaker opt for a smaller project. We had earlier reported that the film, which has Wayanad as its main location, is a comedy and now we have details on the cast of the film.

The movie, which is also scripted by Midhun, has an ensemble cast featuring Aju Varghese, Indrans, Vijay Babu, Bijukuttan and Aneesh Gopal in various roles. In an earlier interview, Vijay Babu, who is also producing the film, told us, “It’s a feel-good film with humour at its centre. The crew of the film consists of relatively new people.”

The movie marks the third collaboration between Midhun and Vijay Babu after Aadu and Aadu 2. The duo was also set to collaborate on Aadu 3, which is a big-budget 3D film with Jayasurya, but the project has been put on hold till after the pandemic. Midhun also has the sequel of Anjaam Pathiraa titled Aaraam Pathiraa, which will have Kunchacko Boban reprising his role as the criminologist Anwar Hussain.

Vijay Babu, meanwhile, announced that he is all set to foray into Bollywood with the remake of #Home, which had Indrans play the role of a technologically handicapped dad. The movie released directly on Amazon Prime Video in August and won widespread acclaim. The actor-producer is also part of Rathish Ambat’s Theerpu, which also stars Prithviraj and Indrajith Sukumaran. The movie is expected to release soon.
