Poonam Pandey is often seen as the glamorous girl on social media. However, the actress believes there is more to her, which will be revealed through the upcoming reality show Lock Upp, where she is a contestant. Poonam tells OTTplay that people often judge her and she wants to break that and tell people her backstory through the show.

“When Lock Upp came to me, I thought about it. Then I thought about the 24x7 cameras and how everybody would look at me the way I am, that got me excited,” the actress shared.

Poonam was recently in a troubled relationship with her husband Sam Bombay. The two had gone to honeymoon in Goa, when Poonam alleged that Sam had assaulted her. She filed a police complaint and was hospitalized after sporting bruises on her face, eyes and head.

“I want people to see the real me now, the person who has gone through so much in life and had difficult relationships. I have faced a lot of difficulties in life. I want to share that,” she said.

Poonam added that she wants to share her backstory on Lock Upp. She added, “I want people to know that this sexy girl sitting in front of them, all dressed up with make-up, there is a different backstory to her. It’s not a very good story. I want to share that. I’m looking forward to sharing those stories on Lock Upp.”

This is the first time Poonam will be share her life 24x7 with the viewers. While she has worked in a reality show before, it was Khatron Ke Khiladi that was a stunt-based show.

Lock Upp is hosted by Kangana Ranaut and backed by Ekta Kapoor. The show will start streaming 24x7 on AltBalaji and MX Player from February 27.
