Poonam Pandey has finally been confirmed as a contestant on Kangana Ranaut’s show, Lock Upp. The actress-model has more or less signed up for Kangana controlling her actions on the show. How does Poonam feel about that?
We asked Poonam if she is okay with the idea and all she said was, “If you go into the Lock Upp, it’s because you have done some sort of crime. I’m not sure how much someone will control me and what scenarios will I have to look into but I’m looking forward to meeting Kangana ma’am.”
Poonam has grown fond of Kangana in more ways than one. Talking about the same, she shares, “She (Kangana) inspires me a lot and is a wonderful person. She’s a very strong woman and I like those kinds of people.”
The actress, who is often known and tagged for her sensuality, has faced not only a relationship but also a marriage problem with her husband Sam Bombay. Poonam had accused Sam of physically assaulting her. She filed a police complaint against him and had to be hospitalized after getting bruises on her head, eyes and face.
Stating how she understands what Kangana went through better now that she has been in a similar situation, Poonam added, “She has her own worries and I can totally connect with that now that I have also gotten out of my own (rolls eyes) ‘whatever’. I’m just looking forward to meeting her, yes.”
Lock Upp is backed by Ekta Kapoor. Kangana Ranaut is the host and decision-maker on the show (at least it is her face that will be stating the orders).
Apart from Poonam, TV actress Nisha Rawal and stand-up comedian Munawar Faruqui have been confirmed as the other contestants on the show. More official announcements are expected to happen soon.
