The title track of Flatmate is finally out. The viewers got a glimpse of the song when the first trailer of the upcoming web series was released.
The track clearly states boundaries between the two individuals - a girl and a boy. The lyrics are, "I'm your flatmate, not your soulmate. I'm your roommate, not your heartmate."
Watch the song here:
Flatmate is about the girl and the boy moving in together without being in a relationship. However, the two get into a casual relationship, after which they face commitment issues.
The trailer of the Addatimes original web series saw Romoydeep Gharui (Sraman Chatterjee)'s life fall apart. His stand-up career goes nowhere, he is rejected by many people and eventually, even goes to prison, most likely because of an insensitive joke on firemen. To make matters worse, he faces opposition from a lawyer who works the law like a puppetry. Tired of the life he lives, he decides to move out and away from his ‘flatmate’ Trisha (Aishwaria Sen)?
The web series, directed by Abhra Chakraborty, started streaming from July 30.
Sraman is a popular face in the Bengali theatre scenario. The actor has worked in plays like Khoj and Manav Kaul’s Five grains of sugar. He has played the lead actor in films like Damru and Left Behind previously.
Aishwaria, on the other hand, is a Bengali Television actress who was a part of Subho Drishti with Prosenjit Chatterjee and Rituparna Sengupta. She is yet to work in a Bengali film but has been a part of two web series namely Utsober Pore and Dhoyasa.
Flatmate is the first time when Sraman and Aishwaria will be collaborating on screen. It is also their first time working with Abhra.
