Ben Stiller to Direct and Co-Star With Cate Blanchett in ‘The Champions’ Movie Adaptation

Ben Stiller and Cate Blanchett will collaborate on the upcoming film adaptation of The Champions, the espionage TV series. Both Stiller and Blanchett will produce the flick with the former taking on directorial reigns. 

The story revolves around three UN agents who experience a plane crash in the Himalayas and then chance upon an ancient Tibetan secret civilization. Their encounter results in them mutating to evolved humans with advanced intellectual and physical abilities. 

‘Fatal Attraction’: Lizzy Caplan To Lead A New Reimagining Of The Classic Erotic Thriller For Paramount+

Paramount Plus has greenlit a Fatal Attraction series with Lizzy Caplan in the lead. Touted as a “reimagining” of the film, the series will take a deep dive into the concepts of fidelity and marriage. Caplan stars as Alex, a woman who becomes unhealthily obsessed with her lover after their transient affair. Glenn Close played the role in the film and was recognized with an Oscar and Golden Globe nomination. Dan’s role (which was played by Michael Douglas) is yet to be announced. 

Yash Raj OTT

Yash Raj Films has announced its debut OTT venture, which will be called YRF Entertainment. As per reports, YRF chairman Aditya Chopra will invest an astronomical Rs 500 crore for the newest undertaking. 

Reports state YRF has signed a deal with Amazon Prime Video for the licensing of its upcoming tentpoles like Bunty Aur Babli 2, Shamshera, Prithviraj, and Jayeshbhai Jordaar. Moreover, many of the production company’s other hits, like Darr, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, and Mardaani are also available on the streaming platform. 

Mob Queens

A limited series based on the Stitcher podcast titled Mob Queens is in the works at HBO. The show has roped in Lena Dunham, Ruth Wilson, and Dennis Lehane, among others. Dunham will also co-write, direct and executive produce the show, which tells the story of Anna Genovese, the second wife of infamous crime boss Vito Genovese.

Neil Patrick Harris

The upcoming sitcom Uncoupled, starring Neil Patrick Harris, has courted controversy after actor Ada Maris wrote an open letter critical of the sitcom’s decision to include a stereotypical Latin American maid character. The series, set to premiere on Netflix, has since had the character removed from its narrative.

Prateik Babbar

Netflix has announced that Cobalt-Blue, starring Prateik Babbar, is set to release on its platform on December 3. Based on a best-selling novel, the film will be directed by award-winning director Sachin Kundalkar. The film narrates an unconventional love story set in the 90s where a brother and a sister fall for the same man.
