Tom Welling, the popular actor who once played a younger version of Superman in the hit CW series Smallville, is joining the cast of the Supernatural prequel as Samuel Campbell, father of the lead character Mary Campbell, and grandfather to the Winchester brothers. The news was announced at the New York Comic Con when he made a surprise entrance to shock those in attendance.

Chris Messina Kaley Cuoco in Comedy Thriller Series 'Based on a True Story

Chris Messina is set to star in the upcoming dark comedy thriller series titled Based on a True Story. The Big Bang Theory and Harley Quinn star, Kaley Cuoco, has already been added to the cast, and the series follows the story of a plumber, a realtor, and a former tennis star whose lives unexpectedly intertwined, revealing America’s obsession with murder and true crime. Cuoco will essay the role of Ava Bartlett, with Messina playing the role of a man named Nathan.

Justin Long joins Disney+ series Goosebumps

Hollywood actor Justin Long has joined the cast of the upcoming Disney+ series Goosebumps. The series is a reboot of the story adapted from R.L. Stine’s iconic young adult novels of the same name. Long will essay the role of a school teacher named Nathan Bratt who develops a link to a terrifying supernatural murder that took place decades earlier.

Keanu Reeves exits the limited series The Devil In The White City

Hollywood star Keanu Reeves has exited from the highly anticipated limited series The Devil In The White City. Reeves was set to play the role of Daniel H. Burnham, a real-life architect who was instrumental in the 1893 Chicago World’s Fair. The story will also focus on Dr. H. H. Holmes, widely regarded as America’s first modern serial killer who built the infamous ‘Murder Castle’ in the shadow of Chicago World’s Fair. The series is an adaptation of the non-fiction book Erik Larson, with Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio serving as executive producers.

Shantaram (Apple TV+)

Based on a novel by Gregory David Roberts, Shantaram is a drama thriller series starring Sons of Anarchy star Charlie Hunnam. The series is set in 80s Bombay and follows an Australian fugitive named Lin Ford. The Apple TV+ Original series will premiere this Friday, October 14.

The Watcher (Netflix)

The Netflix true crime miniseries tells the story of a married couple who are haunted by threatening letters from a stalker after they move into their new home in suburban New Jersey. The series stars Naomi Watts and Bobby Cannavale in lead roles and will drop on Netflix on the 13th of October.

Mismatched S2 (Netflix)

The Popular Netflix series Mismatched, based on Sandhya Menon’s book When Dimple Met Rishi is returning for a second season. The coming-of-age rom-com stars Prajakta Koli and Rohit Saraf in lead roles, and the second season will be available to stream this Friday, October 14.

Dobaara (Netflix)

Bollywood star Taapsee Pannu stars in this fantasy mystery thriller directed by Anurag Kashyap. The plot follows a woman named Anatara who is able to communicate with a 12-year-old boy through her television who lived in the same house 25 years ago. She is presented with the opportunity to save the boy’s life after he witnesses a murder during a mysterious thunderstorm. The film Dobaara will premiere this weekend on the 15th of October on Netflix.
