DC’s annual showcase event, DC Fandome, is slated for this Saturday the 16th of October. We’re already stoked about the exclusive trailers slated to drop, particularly of films such as The Batman, The Flash, and Black Adam. Packed with interviews and first looks, DC fans will also get a glimpse of some of the highly anticipated TV shows and video games from the DC Universe. What’s more, fans can register at the DC Fandome website to take part in the online event for free.
Ted Lasso, Premier League
Apple TV’s critically acclaimed Emmy Award-winningTV series has announced that it has struck a deal with the top tier of English football, the Premier League. The deal is a lucrative licensing agreement, as reported by The Athletic, which will allow the producers of the show to use archival footage, logos of teams, and the Premier League itself for the forthcoming third season.
Jake Gyllenhaal in talks to star in New Guy Ritchie movie
Guy Ritchie, the maverick filmmaker known for his slick camera work and fluid narrative structure, evident in films such as Snatch (2000), Aladdin (2019) and Sherlock Holmes (2009), is now working on a new project starring Oscar-nominated actor Jake Gyllenhaal. The untitled film will be both helmed and written by Ritchie.
Sonu Gowda joins Dharma, Tilak and Rakesh for suspense thriller called Tenant
Debutant director Sridhar Shastri recently announced his suspense thriller titled Tenant. The film revolves around the idea of tenants into modern gated societies and the prerequisite of thorough background checks that have become the norm. The film will feature Dharma Keerthiraj, Tilak Shekar, Rakesh Maiya, Sonu Gowda and Ugram Manju in crucial roles.
Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi’s Telugu film Love Story is set to have its digital premiere on Aha on October 22. The film, directed by Sekhar Kammula, also stars Rajeev Kanakala, Easwari Rao and Devayani and released theatrically on September 24. The film deals with issues like child abuse, discrimination and societal barriers with respect to caste, religion and gender.
That 70s show spin-off
One of Fox’s most celebrated sitcoms, That 70s show is getting a Netflix spin-off titled That 90s show. The show’s original stars Kurtwood Smith and Debra Jo Rupp will reprise their roles as Red and Kitty Forman. That 70s Show which starred the likes of Topher Grace, Mila Kunis and even Ashton Kutcher, ran for eight seasons after debuting back in 1998. Will this one manage to recreate the same magic? Only time will tell.
