Paramount+’s Fatal Attraction is set to release this spring

During the panel of the Television Critics Association presentation, Paramount+ announced one of their most anticipated titles, Fatal Attraction. The series is based on the 1987 movie Fatal Attraction starring Glenn Close and Michael Douglas. The show will be a retelling of the classic thriller film with an emphasis on mental health, toxic relationships, and female empowerment which were not the focus of the film that was released in the 80s. Further details regarding the plot are unknown but it will surely pique the interest of fans of the genre.

Netflix is set to produce a series based on the novel They Both Die at the End

Netflix has been very successful with its shows based on famous novels like Bridgerton and The Queen's Gambit which topped several charts. The success of these shows has prompted the streaming giant in acquiring the rights for the bestselling young adult novel by Adam Silvera, titled They Both Die at the End. Bridgerton creator Chris Van Dusen will be penning the script for the pilot episode of the series.

Netflix show Inside Job is cancelled after the season 2 renewal announcement

Another Netflix show is cancelled and it's unfortunately the adult animated comedy Inside Job. The show co-creator and writer Shion Takeuchi took to social media to confirm the news. Earlier reports claimed that the series had been renewed for the second season but Takeuchi's statement revealed that Netflix is no longer moving forward with it. The first season consisted of two parts with 10 and eight episodes respectively.

Nushrratt Bharuccha gets injured on the sets of Chhorii 2

While filming an action sequence for the film Chhorii 2, Actor Nushrratt Bharuccha met with an unfortunate accident. She suffered a cut on her face and had to be rushed to the doctor's clinic to get it stitched. Her friend and fellow actress Ishita Raj took to Instagram to share a photo of Bharuccha at the clinic. She even tried to divert Nushrratt’s attention while she was getting stitched.

The film Lovefully yours Vedha is set to have its theatrical release

Award-winning Malayalam actress Rajisha Vijayan will be next seen as the lead for the upcoming film Lovefully yours Vedha. The actress took to her official social media handles to share the poster for the film and also revealed that the film will have its theatrical release this February. According to her, the film is “A poetic journey to the immortality of love through the shadowy corridors of college memories”. She will star alongside Sreenath Bhasi in the film, which will be directed by Pragesh P Sukumaran

Anirban Bhattacharya and Ishaa Saha are set to star in a melancholic love story

Anirban Bhattacharya and Ishaa Saha showcased their excellent chemistry in the Bengali mystery thriller film Detective. Fans of the duo will be thrilled to know that both actors will be reuniting again for the film Mithye Premer Gaan. Paroma Neotia is making her directorial debut with the film which will also star Arjun Chakrabarty and Soumya Mukherjee in prominent roles. The teaser revealed that it will be a melancholic love story and is scheduled to release on February 10.

Kannada film Kantara qualifies for the Oscars contention list

An Indian cinema has made it to the Academy Awards qualification list and it is none other than Rishab Shetty’s Kantara. It is now eligible to be nominated for the Oscars in the Best Picture and Best Actor categories. SS Rajamouli's RRR has also been qualified in the Best Original Song category for the 'Naattu Naattu' song. Whether both these films will receive nominations remains to be seen, but it speaks volumes of the recognition Indian films are gaining these days across the globe.
