Welcome to another episode of Sizzling Samachar , your daily dose of entertainment news on OTTplay. I'm your host Nikhil.

Jonah Hill and Keanu Reeves are uniting for a new project

Jonah Hill already has his next directorial project lined up, and studios are determined to win the rights for its production. This is understandable since the film, Outcome, comes with an A-list star to lead it, and it's none other than Keanu Reeves. The movie is set to be produced under Hill’s production company, Strong Baby with Hill also contributing to the script alongside writer Ezra Woods. Most details of the film have been kept under wraps including no reports from either Hill or Reeves but both of their involvement is creating much anticipation.

Joseph Quinn from Stranger Things joining the cast of A Quiet Place: Day One

Academy Award-winner Lupita Nyong’o’s casting announcement in Paramount’s A Quiet Place: Day One was reported earlier this month. Now, it has emerged that Stranger Things season 5 breakout star Joseph Quinn will star opposite Nyong’o’ in a spin-off film of the 2018 horror classic, The Quiet Place. The first film was released in 2018, with its subsequent sequel releasing back in 2021. Further details regarding the spin-off are kept under wraps.

Kristen Stewart is debuting as a director for the film The Chronology of Water

Kristen Stewart is not a novice when it comes to directing as she has already been acclaimed for her short film, Come to Swim, which she wrote and directed back in 2017. She will reunite with Scott Free Productions for a new project – a feature film titled The Chronology of Water. Stewart will also be contributing to the script along with Andy Mingo, based on the memoir written by Lidia Yuknavitch.

RRR is a staggering success in Japan

SS. Rajamouli’s RRR has taken the Japanese box office by storm. It’s breaking all the records set by previous blockbusters and has become the first Indian film to collect 250 Million Yen at the Japanese Box-office. The popular director became quite prominent in Japan after his movie Baahubali 2, which also did well in Japan with a similar collection in the span of 7 months but RRR made history by achieving this feat in one month. It is predicted that RRR could become the highest-grossing Indian film in Japan in the next few weeks.

Basil Joseph, Suraj Venjaramoodu and Niranjana Anoop getting together for the upcoming film Enkilum Chandrike

Basil Joseph has never failed his audience as an actor and a filmmaker. The Minnal Murali director is gearing up for his next Enkilum Chandrike, a feel-good entertainer. He will star alongside Suraj Venjaramoodu and Niranjana Anoop. The script has been finalized by the director Adithyan Chandrashekar and writer Arjun Narayanan, with Jithin Stanislaus coming on board as the cinematographer.
