Keanu Reeves is back as John Wick in a new spinoff film

Action fans all over the world are in for a treat as Keanu Reeves will be back as John Wick in the new spinoff film. The news was revealed in the announcement of the new movie Ballerina also starring Ana de Armas. He is currently filming in Prague for the film but the extent of his role is still under wraps. Ian McShane will also return as Winston, the manager of The Continental Hotel. While major plot details about Ballerina remain a mystery, shooting is underway with the release date to be announced soon.

Viola Davis cast as the US President in thriller G20

Oscar-winner actress Viola Davis is set to play the President of the United States in the action thriller G20. She plays the role of US President Taylor Sutton who is tasked with saving the world leaders gathered for a G20 summit from a terrorist attack. In order to save her family and the other world leaders, and restore freedom, she has to fall back on her diplomatic and military experience. The new film will be directed by Patricia Riggen under Amazon Studios and MRC Film.

Disney is bringing back Indiana Jones as a television series

An Indiana Jones television series is currently in development with Disney+. The iconic character of Indiana Jones has had a religious fan following since Harrison Ford debuted the character in Raiders of the Lost Ark in 1981. Disney is set to expand on this dynamic character and maybe take it in an alternative direction. These revelations followed closely after Harrison Ford stated that he will be done with the role after the release of the fifth film. The team is still in need of a head writer but Disney and Lucasfilm are quite confident about this new venture.

Netflix’s Seesaw Monster to star Anne Hathaway and Salma Hayek Pinault

Japanese mystery writer Kōtarō Isaka’s Seesaw Monster is set to have its silver screen debut, and it's none other than Netflix who have bought the rights for it. Olivia Milch is writing the novel’s adapted screenplay with Hollywood stars Anne Hathaway and Salma Hayek Pinault already on board the project. Though most details on the project haven't been released, there are talks that the adaptation will star Hathaway and Salma Hayek as rivals forced to set aside their differences for a common goal.

Netflix renews The Empress for its second season

The German period drama The Empress is set to return on Netflix with its second season. It's huge news for historical drama lovers since this mid-19th-century drama became an International hit after the release of its first season back in September. The first season revolves around the rebellious young empress Elisabeth and her relationship with the Emperor of Austria, Franz. Fans are promised a second season which is to continue this exciting story of love and power struggles.

Kareena Kapoor Khan set to star in Hansal Mehta’s next film as a detective

There are reports emerging that Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor Khan is shooting for Hansal Mehta’s next film. The team has kept most of the details of the production under wraps but there has been buzz that Kareena Kapoor Khan is venturing into uncharted waters with this project. She will be portraying the role of a detective who is suffering from the recent loss of her eight-year-old child in a mob hit. While processing her loss, she is tasked with a new case, the investigation of a 10-year-old child’s murder.

The National award-winning film Sumi is having a direct OTT release

Amol Vasant Gole's directorial Sumi is set to release directly on OTT. The movie won two National awards in the categories of Best Children's Film and Best Child Artist. They took to social media to share the news of their OTT release associated with Planet Marathi. The Marathi film is set in rural India and follows a tale of the struggle, ambition, commitment and friendship of an underprivileged 12-year-old girl, Sumati. Akanksha Pingale portrays the titular role of Sumi.
