Kieran Culkin cast in Jesse Eisenberg’s next film ‘A Real Pain’

Best known for his turns in films such as The Social Network and Zombieland, Jesse Eisenberg is set to write, direct and feature in A Real Pain, which also stars Kieran Culkin. The film revolves around estranged cousins who travel to Warsaw following their grandmother’s demise to trace their roots and find themselves on a Holocaust tour. The film is slated to begin filming in March 2023. Now that’s a bittersweet tale we look forward to.

House of Dragons premiere crashes HBO Max
Game of Thrones fans are already gushing over the latest prequel of the series House of the Dragon which dropped its first episode on 21st August 2022. Given the hype surrounding the show and the superlative following of the franchise, it’s hardly surprising that the excessive traffic crashed the HBO max servers in the US on the day the show premiered. Fans took to Twitter to complain about not being able to stream the show due to “technical difficulties” as pointed out by the popular streamer. HBO responded to the agitated tweets, saying that the issue was largely with users who were trying to access the show via Amazon Fire TV devices. Similar crashes have been experienced in the past during the premieres of popular shows such as Euphoria. Luckily, no such issues were experienced in India and House of the Dragon is available to stream on Disney+Hotstar, should you want to catch up with the popular series.

Rohit Shetty won’t replace Salman Khan in Bigg Boss

Contrary to rumors that suggested that director and reality TV host Rohit Shetty was being considered to host Bigg Boss, a source has now revealed to an entertainment website that these rumors are untrue. Shetty, who has been hosting Khatron Ke Khiladi, has a huge following and has carved a niche for himself in the reality TV segment. Whether Salman Khan will continue to host the reality show or not is yet to be confirmed. But with just a few months left for the show to go on air, it seems like Bollywood’s favorite bhai will continue to helm the most-watched non-fiction show on Indian television.

Arjun Bijlani will co-host Splitsvilla X4 along with Sunny Leone

The reality show that gives a spin to dating on national TV, Splitsvilla X4, has a new co-host. According to sources, actor Arjun Bijlani will be replacing Rajvijay Singh as the co-host of the upcoming season of Splitsvilla on MTV. Bijlani is a regular in the non-fiction space and has previously hosted reality and talent shows such as Road Diaries, Dance Deewane, Dance Deewane 2, Kitchen Champion 5, and India’s Got Talent 9. Let’s hope he manages to channel the same magic on the dating reality show that puts contestants through some serious relationship challenges.

The Idol teaser gives a glimpse of the cast

The teaser for HBO’s highly-anticipated series The Idol has gotten fans excited as it gives a glimpse of the ensemble cast. Co-created by singer Abel Tesfaye, popularly known as The Weeknd, and Euphoria showrunner Sam Levinson, the series features Tesfaye, Lily-Rose Depp, Suzanna Son, Troye Sivan, Moses Sumney, Jane Adams, Dan Levy, Jennie Ruby Jane, Eli Roth, Rachel Sennot, Hari Nef, and South Korean pop sensation Jennie Kim. Set in the music industry in Los Angeles, the series follows the love story between a self-help guru and an upcoming pop singer, played by Tesfaye and Depp, respectively.

Suriya 42 goes on floors

Fans of Kollywood superstar Suriya have reasons to cheer as the production on the star’s next project has commenced in Chennai. Tentatively titled Suriya 42, the film will mark the actor’s first collaboration with director Siva. It is touted to be a pan-India film and will be released in 10 languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi, Marathi, and Bengali. As per reports, Disha Patani will play the female lead in the film.

Mei Hoom Moosa gets a release date

Malayalam superstar Suresh Gopi’s upcoming film Mei Hoom Moosa is set to release on September 30th. Directed by Jibu Jacob, who is best known for helming Vellimoonga, the film features Poonam Bajwa, Hareesh Kanaran, Major Ravi, Srinda, and Saiju Kurup. The film was shot in Kargil, Wagah Border, Delhi, Jaipur, and several other places.

Trisha may play the lead role in Thalapathy 67

Vijay and Trisha are undoubtedly one of the most loved on-screen couples in Kollywood. They have acted together in films such as Ghilli, Thirupaachi, Aathi, and Kuruvi, and their chemistry has always set the screens on fire. If rumors are to be believed, Trisha will play one of the lead female characters in Vijay’s next film, Thalapathy 67. Director Lokesh Kanagaraj, best known for directing Kamal Haasan-starrer Vikram, recently started following the actress on Twitter. This has gotten fans excited and they are hoping they get to see their favorite couple again after 14 years.
