Sizzling news first up,
Lady Gaga/House of Gucci
Ridley Scott’s upcoming drama film House of Gucci hasn’t enjoyed a stellar marketing campaign leading up to its global release. To make matters worse Lady Gaga’s Italian accent has come under fire for sounding more Russian than Italian. This was an opinion shared by none other than the film’s dialect coach Francesca De Martini, who reiterates that Gaga’s accent isn’t the most flattering.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu
Director Vignesh Sivan has shared the first look poster of Samantha Ruth Prabhu for the upcoming film Kaathu vaakula Rendu Kaadhal. Samantha will play the role of a character named Khatija, and the film also features Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara. Samantha is also set to appear in a dance number for the upcoming Telugu film Pushpa: The Rise, starring Allu Arjun and Fahadh Faasil.
Mel Gibson, who headlined Lethal Weapon more than three decades ago, will now take on directorial reigns for the fifth instalment of the franchise. Richard Donner, who had helmed all the four previous films, had come onboard the recent one. But the filmmaker’s death this year had stalled the project. Gibson, in a recent interaction, has confirmed the news.

Desert Warrior is set in the seventh century and depicts an Arabian unified empire, ruled by Kisra (played by Ben Kingsley). Other cast members include Aiysha Hart, Sharlto Copley, and Ghassan Massoud.
