Manny Jacinto cast in Star Wars Disney+ series The Acolyte

The Good Place star Manny Jacinto has been added to the cast of Leslye Headland's upcoming Star Wars series The Acolyte. Jacinto joins the already announced cast of Amandla Stenberg, Jodie Turner-Smith, and Emmy-winning Squid Game star Lee Jung-jae. Reports suggest that Stenberg, Jacinto, and Lee will be the lead characters in the Disney+ series. The Acolyte is set a century before the events of Star Wars: The Phantom Menace.

Amanda Brugel to star in AMC series The Driver

The Handmaid Tale alum Amanda Brugel is set to star in AMC’s upcoming series The Driver which is based on the British drama series of the same name. She will appear as a recurring cast in the series that also features Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul star Giancarlo Esposito as well as Skeet Ulrich. Brugel will essay the role of a nun who shares a past with Esposito's character.

Andy Cohen’s Most Talkative to become a series

Most Talkative, the New York Times bestselling memoir by Andy Cohen, is set to become a series on NBC. Emmy winner Todd Holland will direct the coming-of-age comedy series that will revolve around Cohen’s rise to stardom in the television industry.

‘Butch and Sundance’ Series Finds Its Stars in Regé-Jean Page & Glen Powell

Bridgerton star Regé-Jean Page and Top Gun: Maverick star Glen Powell are set to unite for Amazon Studios’ Butch and Sundance series. The Russo Brothers will executive produce the project with Eternals writers Kaz and Ryan Firpo attached to write. The series which will reportedly be set in an alternate America will feature Page as Butch Cassidy and Powell as the Sundance kid.

'Blade Runner 2099’ series greenlit at Prime Video

The critically acclaimed Blade Runner franchise is getting a sequel TV show, titled Blade Runner 2099. Blade Runner released in 1983 was directed by Ridley Scott and Denis Villeneuve took over the reins for the 2017 sequel Blade Runner 2049. Whereas, the new TV series will be helmed by Silka Luisa with Ridley Scott as executive producer. It is unclear whether Harrison Ford and Ryan Gosling will make an appearance in the series being developed for Amazon Prime Video.

Yellowstone Prequel 1923 casts Brandon Sklenar

Yellowstone, created by Taylor Sheridan and starring Kevin Costner, recently announced several spin-offs, and one of them is a prequel series titled 1923. Paramount+ has cast Brandon Sklenar for 1923 and he will join a cast that boasts stellar names such as Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren. 1923 will focus on the Dutton family at a time when several crises such as drought, Prohibition, and the Great Depression have affected their livelihoods.
