Reese Witherspoon is set to star in a comedy series All Star

Hollywood's OG blonde girl, Reese Witherspoon is now stepping into the shoes of a cheerleading coach in her next. The Amazon Prime Video series named All Star follows a former cheerleader trying to trick her way into being a cheerleading coach at a school in England. She tries to reciprocate her desire of becoming an all-star through her students. Witherspoon will also serve as the executive producer for the series along with Lauren Neustadter. Jack Dylan Grazer is set to star in Disney+’s The Spiderwick Chronicles

There’s a new addition to the eclectic cast of Disney+’s The Spiderwick Chronicles and it’s none other than Shazam star Jack Dylan Grazer. He is joining Lyon Daniels, Noah Cottrell, Mychala Lee, Joy Bryant, and Christian Slater in this TV adaptation of Tony DiTerlizzi and Holly Black’s acclaimed children’s novel. The series revolves around the Grace family who moves from New York to Michigan and comes to learn that they happen to be living next door to fantastical creatures. Talk about grisly neighbors!

Melissa McCarthy is set to star in a Christmas comedy

Just when we thought we’ve had enough of Christmas rom-coms hogging our streamers, here comes another. We’ve now learnt that Melissa McCarthy is also getting on the holiday train and will be next seen in a fairy tale comedy set in New York. The film follows a workaholic man who seeks the help of a magical genie to reconnect with his family just before Christmas. Though McCarthy’s role has not been announced yet, we’re certain this ones going to be a laugh riot. McCarthy fans would be kicked about the forthcoming live-action remake of Disney's The Little Mermaid. In the film, the actress will play the villainous sea witch Ursula who was previously portrayed by Pat Carroll in the 1989 animated film.

Mythic Quest is expanding to a new series Mere Mortals

Rob McElhenney and Charlie Day’s Mythic Quest is one of the biggest hits on Apple TV+. Following the success of the series, a spin-off series titled Mere Mortals is currently in the works. The workplace comedy follows a team who develops the biggest multiplayer video game of all time.

Advertisers take their money back after Netflix fails to meet viewership targets

Netflix ad-supported model seems to be off to a slow start in the US. As it turns out, they are unable to meet the targets for ad-supported viewership and hence have allowed advertisers to take their money back. According to the executives, they have only delivered roughly 80% of the expected audience. The agency gave credit to Netflix for returning money to the advertisers on account of not fulfilling the promised reach.

The release date for Vicky Kaushal and Triptii Dimri’s upcoming romantic comedy revealed

Prime Video is signing a deal with Dharma Productions and Leo Media Collective for a new movie. Helmed by Anand Tiwari, the untitled film is produced by Hiroo and Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Amritpal Singh Bindra. The film stars Vicky Kaushal and Triptii Dimri as the lead with Ammy Virk in a pivotal role. The movie is slated for a theatrical release on July 28, 2023. Subsequently, it will also be available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video in more than 240 countries.
