Reese Witherspoon and Sarah Harden’s production company Hello Sunshine is developing a modern take on popular children’s fairy tale Goldilocks and the Three Bears. The new adaptation of the British fairy tale will feature Goldilocks as a ‘powerful female protagonist’.

Theo Rossi joins Taron Egerton in Netflix thriller

Army of the Dead and Sons of Anarchy star Theo Rossi has joined the cast of Netflix’s Carry On. He will star alongside Jason Bateman and Taron Egerton, whereas Sofia Carson and Danielle Deadwyler will essay supporting roles. The plot follows a young TSA agent, who is blackmailed into smuggling a dangerous package onto a Christmas Day flight by a mysterious passenger. Spanish-American filmmaker Jaume Collet-Serra is directing the film based on a screenplay by TJ Fixman.

Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day film Coming to Disney+

Judith Viorst’s classic children's book Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day is being adapted into a new film. Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria will join George Lopez as the film’s lead cast members. The film centers around a Mexican-American family who go on a road trip to reconnect with themselves. However, their road trip takes a hilarious turn and becomes an epic adventure. Longoria will play the titular character’s mother while Lopez will play the grandfather.

Korean series Island to stream on Amazon Prime Video

In a move to expand its K-drama catalog, Amazon Prime Video has picked up the highly anticipated fantasy series Island which is based on the popular webtoon of the same name. Set in South Korea’s Jeju Island, the series revolves around a group of characters who fight an evil entity. Island will premiere on the streaming platform in December this year.

Sushmita Sen’s next web series to feature 300 transgender artists

Bollywood star Sushmita Sen will play transgender activist Gauri Sawant in her latest web series titled, Taali. She took to social media to share the news and said that the filming for the series has commenced. The six-part series will also feature around 300 transgender artists. For the unversed, Sawant is the founder of Sakhi Char Chowghi, an NGO that helps transgenders and HIV/AIDS patients.

Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam to clash with Akshay Kumar’s Ram Setu and Ajay Devgn’s Thank God

If you are eagerly awaiting the release of Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam, then we have some good news for you. The film will release in 1,800 to 2,000 theatres in India on October 21st. However, the film is expected to face tough competition from Akshay Kumar’s Ram Setu and the Ajay Devgn-Sidharth Malhotra starrer Thank God. Both the Bollywood films will release on October 25th. So, who will rule the box office this Diwali? Let’s wait and watch.
