Director Rian Johnson confirms third Knives Out film

Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery is possibly one of the biggest releases this year and will be soon available for streaming on Netflix. Director Rian Johnson has already confirmed the third installment of the film series and that he will be in charge of the script. While the production of this film is in the very early stages, there is no doubt that the franchise's third installment is already a done deal. Netflix obtained the rights to two sequels of the Knives Out movie back in 2021.

Idris Elba to return in new Luther film

New images have been released of the upcoming film Luther, a spin-off to the eponymous hit British crime drama. The series was originally a BBC TV production with five seasons from 2010 to 2019. Idris Elba will be reprising his role as detective John Luther, whereas details for the upcoming film have been kept under wraps. It is set to be available for streaming on Netflix in 2023.

Amazon is producing a series on FTX with the Russo Brothers

Amazon is set to produce a series on the rise and fall of the cryptocurrency platform FTX. They acquired the rights to an eight-episode limited series about FTX from Joe and Anthony Russo’s AGBO. David Weil, the creator of Hunters is in charge of the script and the Russos are joining as the directors. Details about the series are being kept under wraps but since the Russos are a part of it, there are speculations of A-list talents soon joining the cast of the series.

Radhika Apte reportedly cast in Mohanlal and Lijo Jose’s next project

Fans are excited about the collaboration of Malayalam superstar Mohanlal and acclaimed filmmaker Lijo Jose Pellissery and there have been reports that this movie might be the director’s biggest project yet. The film is being produced by Shibu Baby John under the banner of John and Mary Creative along with Maxlabs and Century Films and the plot revolves around Mohanlal as a wrestler in a possible period film setting. Now, there has been news of Radhika Apte possibly playing the female lead in the film. Apte previously worked in the Malayalam industry for the 2015 film Haram opposite Fahadh Faasil.

Suriya 42 to start filming soon in Sri Lanka

Suriya's upcoming film, tentatively titled Suriya 42, began filming back in August. The first schedule of shooting wrapped up in Goa and Chennai, and the team headed to Sri Lanka for their next schedule. The majority of the film's shooting is set to be completed in a 60-day timeline and reports claim the movie is based on a 1000-year-old story. The dynamic actor Suriya is set to portray five different roles in this big-budget film.

Anushka Sen is set to star in a South Korean film

Bollywood actress Anushka Sen is set to make her Korean debut with a South Korean film titled Asia. You might know her from the hit television show Jhansi Ki Rani, and she returned from Seoul after completing the first schedule of the film. The film is conceptualized, written, and directed by Lee Jung-sub and will be released as a multilingual film. It is set to feature performances from actors from all over the world, including India, Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Japan, Vietnam, and the U.S.
