John Bradley joins Paramount+ series North Shore

Game of Thrones alum John Bradley is set to star as the lead in the upcoming Paramount+ crime-thriller series North Shore. He will play Max Wylie, a British detective who is sent to Sydney Harbour in Australia to uncover the mystery behind the death of a British cabinet minister's daughter. Joanne Froggatt will also feature in the series created by Mike Bullen.

Sarah Paulson to play Gwen Shamblin in HBO Max series

Sarah Paulson will star in the scripted adaptation of the HBO Max docuseries The Way Down: God, Greed, and the Cult of Gwen Shamblin. Paulson will play Gwen Shamblin, the founder of the Remnant Fellowship Church who gained a cult-like following with her Christian diet program The Weigh Down Workshop. Sarah will also serve as the executive producer of the series.

Alan Arkin and Kathy Bates to star in Casey Affleck’s The Smack

Oscar-winning actors Alan Arkin and Kathy Bates have joined the cast of the indie heist thriller The Smack featuring Casey Affleck in the lead. Teyana Taylor has also been added to the ensemble cast that includes Isabel May, Marisa Tomei, and Yul Vázquez. Based on Richard Lange’s novel of the same name, the film revolves around a con man named Rowan Petty, played by Affleck. The Perfect Guy director David M. Rosenthal will helm the project.

Nicholas Galitzine to star alongside Anne Hathaway in The Idea of You

Purple Hearts fame Nicholas Galitzine will appear alongside Oscar winner Anne Hathaway in Amazon Prime Video’s romantic drama The Idea of You. Based on Robinne Lee’s best-selling novel of the same name, the film will revolve around Sophie, a 40-year-old divorcee who falls in love with a boy band’s lead singer Hayes Campbell, who is only 24 years old. The novel which is inspired by singer-actor Harry Styles will be adapted to the screen by Michael Showalter.

Dhanush's bilingual film to hit theatres on December 2nd

National Award-winning actor Dhanush's bilingual film Sir will hit theatres on December 2nd. The film will release as Sir in Telugu and as Vaathi in Tamil. The big-budget film is written and directed by Venky Atluri and will feature Samyuktha Menon as the female lead. Dhanush will essay the role of Bala Gangadhar Tilak, a junior lecturer.

Urmila Matondkar and Shreyas Talpade to star in a Marathi film

Urmila Matondkar is joining hands with Shreyas Talpade for the first time in the upcoming Marathi film Ti Me Navhech. With the film, Matondkar will be making a comeback to Marathi cinema after eight years. The film will also feature Ninad Kamat.

Sarah Michelle Gellar is grateful that Cruel Intentions reboot got cancelled

In a recent interview, Hollywood star Sarah Michelle Gellar said that she was grateful that the TV reboot of her 1999 film Cruel Intentions didn’t kick off. Gellar was supposed to reprise her role of Kathryn Merteuil in the show. Three episodes of the show were shot but never made it to air. Gellar, who was last seen in the Netflix teen comedy Do Revenge, said that her character in the film was a grown-up version of her Cruel Intentions character.
