Krishna Chaitanya directs the crime drama that also stars Anjali

Gangs of Godavari, an action drama based on the fishing mafia in the Godavari region in Andhra Pradesh, is directed by Krishna Chaitanya. Vishwak Sen plays the lead role in the film whereas Neha Sshetty, Anjali play the female leads. Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya are bankrolling the film under Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas.
Yuvan Shankar Raja is scoring the music for the prestigious project whose first glimpse released to encouraging responses recently. Commemorating Independence Day, the promo of the first single from the film - Suttamla Soosi - was unveiled today. “Here’s the promo of #SuttamlaSoosi song from #GangsofGodavari. Full song out Tomorrow!” the makers wrote.
In the song that establishes the relationship between the lead pair Vishwak and Neha, the former is smoking a beedi in the middle of a market while his lady love arrives in a huge car and stares at him. While Vishwak is excited by her presence, he hides his feelings from the public. Neha, taking a look at his antics, smiles and waits. The full song of Suttam Soosi will be launched tomorrow.
Anurag Kulkarni has crooned for the number which has lyrics by Sri Harsha Emani. The film, whose shoot is progressing at a brisk pace, is arriving in theatres this December. Srikara Studios is presenting the drama whose crew comprises cinematographer Anith Madhadi, editor Navin Nooli. Venkat Upputuri and Gopi Chand Innamuri (who backed Intinti Ramayanam) are the co-producers.
Vishwak Sen also scored a hit with his second directorial this year - Das Ka Dhamki - a thriller where he was paired alongside Nivetha Pethuraj. He is cast opposite Meenakshii Chaudhary for another film by Ram Talluri. Meanwhile, Neha Sshetty will also be seen in Rules Ranjann, Bedurulanka 2012 before Gangs of Godavari hits screens.
