Gangubai Kathiawadi trailer: Alia Bhatt feels overwhelmed with fans' reactions; shares gratitude post

Alia Bhatt has been overwhelmed with the response of the audience to the Gangubai Kathiawadi trailer, which was released on Friday. The talented actress has recently shared a post on her Instagram handle expressing her gratitude towards the fans. The upcoming crime drama movie has been directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

The biographical drama film stars Alia in the titular character alongside Ajay Devgn in an extended cameo role with Seema Pahwa and Vijay Raaz portraying the key characters. 

The lead actress shared a new poster on her Instagram handle and mentioned her gratitude in the caption, which reads, "Chand pe chaar chand laga diya aapke pyaar ne (sic)."

Not only the fans the actress is being appreciated by a lot of celebs from the industry. The legendary actress Neetu Kapoor commented on Alia's post with hearts and fire emojis.  

Soon after the release of the trailer of her upcoming film, the young actress shared an image of her beau on her Instagram story and mentioned a caption that reads, "best boyfriend ever." In the image, the Bollywood actor can be seen imitating his girlfriend's pose from the movie.

Meanwhile, the much-awaited Gangubai Kathiwadi has gathered a huge response from across the country. Based on a significant part of the 2011 book Mafia Queens of Mumbai by the crime novelist and former investigative journalist S. Hussain Zaidi, the story of the film follows a famous sex worker for her courage of standing out in the crowd for many social reforms including the right to education to the young children of Kamathipura.

The highly anticipated biopic also features Shantanu Maheshwari, Indira Tiwari among other actors. Gangubai Kathiwadi is slated to have a massive theatrical release on February 25.
