Gauahar Khan recently responded to the negative comments made by online users on Ranbir Kapoor's remark about his wife Alia Bhatt. Previously, during a live session promoting their new film Brahmastra Part One: Shiva, Ranbir commented on Alia's weight gain. Netizens found this statement offensive and criticised Ranbir's humour as being offensive.

Ranbir was seen this week promoting the movie in Chennai alongside Nagarjuna and filmmaker SS Rajamouli. In response to crowd criticism, Ranbir apologised for making fun of Alia during the media conference. However, Gauhar has intervened and claimed that people have grown overly sensitive and could even take offence whenever a husband and wife are laughing.

Gauhar posted on twitter, "Aaj kal log kuch zyaada hi sensitive ho gaye hain. Ab apni biwi se kuch halka phulka Mazaak karne pe bhi paabandi hai, kya pata kaun kahaan pe offend ho jaaye. Take a chill pill yaar, take light, it will resolve a lot of the issues in the world." (People are getting much more sensitive these days. Even men can't make fun of their wives.)

Following the release of the Dance Ka Bhoot clip, Ranbir, Ayan, and Alia convened for a live YouTube chat to answer some fan queries. Throughout the livestream event, the three further answered some fan questions and talked about Pritam's composition for the soundtrack of Brahmastra.

The actress responded to a comment from a fan asking why they are not aggressively marketing Brahmastra by saying, "We will promote the film, and we will be everywhere, but if the question you are asking is why we are not phailod everywhere, right now our priority is…" Before Alia could finish, Ranbir interrupted her and said, "Well, I can say somebody has phailod," pointing at Alia's growing belly.

On the other hand, Brahmastra Part One: Shiva also features Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna Akkineni, and Mouni Roy. It will be Alia and Ranbir's first time working together. On September 9, 2022, the movie will be released in theatres in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.
