Siddhant Chaturvedi, who was recently seen as Zain in Gehraiyaan, opened up about how he was once left between choosing love and ambition, right before he decided to step into films.
"I was with this girl for four years and wanted to settle down with her. I was quite sorted. I wanted to settle down with her and she wanted a simple life. I was doing my CA at that time but then I chose to switch my career. That didn’t go down well with her. We wanted two different things in life and that was really heartbreaking because I had to choose between love and ambition (sic)," the actor told Filmfare.
Chaturvedi made his film debut with Zoya Akhtar's musical drama Gully Boy, where he played a rapper named MC Sher. In Gehraiyaan, he shared screen space with Deepika Padukone, Ananya Panday and Dhairya Karwa.
His other works include the Amazon Prime series Inside Edge and the Bunty aur Babli reboot.
Chaturvedi will be seen next in Phone Bhoot with Katrina Kaif, Ishaan Khattar, Jackie Shroff and Abhinay Raj Singh. The horror-comedy is directed by newcomer Gurmmeet Singh.
