Ghibran and GV Prakash team up for a song in KS Ravikumar's Koogle Kuttapa

The first look of Koogle Kuttapa, starring KS Ravikumar in the lead, was unveiled by Suriya a couple of months ago, and its teaser was released by Sivakarthikeyan. The official remake of Malayalam film Android Kunjappan Ver 5.25, which is streaming on Amazon Prime Video, the movie has KS Ravikumar playing the lead. 

The veteran filmmaker is playing the role Suraj Venjaramoodu has essayed in the original version. Tharshan and Losliya, who shot to fame with Bigg Boss Tamil fame, are playing KSR's son and daughter-in-law in the film respectively. Yogi Babu will also play a prominent role in the movie which is directed by Sabari and Saravanan.

Ghibran, who is the music director of the project, took to Twitter to give an update from the film for movie buffs. Posting a selfie with musician-actor GV Prakash, he said that the duo is joining hands for a romantic song in the film. Madhan Karky is writing lyrics for the track which has been titled Alai Alai. Ghibran tweeted, "Recorded a romantic number with @gvprakash for #KoogleKuttapa Lyrics by @madhankarky Song name #AlaiAlai (Coming soon!)."

Koogle Kuttapa marks the second film of Losliya; her debut movie Friendship which released in theatres last month, is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video. The project is produced by Ravikumar and the film's directors were erstwhile assistants to the filmmaker. 

GV Prakash, who was last seen in Vanakkam Da Mappilei which had a premiere on Sun NXT, has around 10 projects in his kitty as an actor. His last outing as a composer was Kangana Ranaut's multilingual flick Thalaivi. Ghibran's previous outing was Chimbudeven's Kasada Tabara which premiered on SonyLIV a while ago. He was one among the six somposers of the movie.
