The supernatural comedy film is back with a sequel. The Ghostbusters: Afterlife will hit the screens across the world soon. Directed by Jason Reitman, the film stars original cast members like Bill Murray, Annie Potts, Dan Aykroyd. It will also feature new cast members like Paul Rudd, Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard and Mckenna Grace.
The makers shared the latest trailer that offer a sneak peek at the story of the film. The plot revolves around a family with a single mother and her three children who move to a farmhouse in Oklahoma where they start experiencing some unexplained earthquakes. The children then realise the kind of scientist their grandfather was and decide to take on what he had started, to protect the future of mankind. The trailer offers a rollercoaster ride with lots of laughter and action. Watch the trailer here:
The makers also announced the release date with the latest trailer. Taking to Instagram, they wrote: "Proton Pack optional, big screen required. 馃嵖 See #Ghostbusters: Afterlife, exclusively in movie theaters November 19." (sic) Check out the post here:
The fantasy comedy film had suffered several delays due to several reasons. The reboot of the Ghostbusters film had performed badly at the box office and hence, the director decided to instead work on sequels to the original film. The film's release also got delayed four times due to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. It finally got a release date for its worldwide premiere. The film will now release in theatres on November 19, 2021. However, the OTT release of the film is yet to be announced.
