Godfather: Salman Khan commences shoot for Chiranjeevi and Nayanthara's political drama in Mumbai

Chiranjeevi, who awaits the release of his action entertainer Acharya later this April, is looking to wrap up the shoot of Godfather at the earliest. Godfather is the Telugu remake of Mohanlal's Lucifer, directed and adapted by Mohan Raja. Nayanthara plays the female lead in the film which also has Sunil, Satyadev Kancharana, Biju Menon and others in key roles. Godfather is bankrolled by RB Choudary and NV Prasad under Konidela Productions and Super Good Films.

A crucial schedule of Godfather is currently being in shot in Mumbai. Hindi film star Salman Khan, who is making a special appearance in the film, has joined the shoot in the city today. Chiranjeevi welcomed the star with a bouqet to the sets, a still shared by the actor himself confirms. Salman, as per the makers, plays a powerful role in Godfather. Sources indicate that he may essay the role played by actor, director Prithviraj Sukumar in the Malayalam version.

The film's technical lineup includes cinematographer Nirav Shah, composer S Thaman and art director Suresh Selvarajan, who has worked on several top-class Hindi films in the past. Chiranjeevi's better half Konidela Surekha is the presenter of the film. Godfather is expected to release in the latter half of 2022.
