Gulshan Devaiah speaks about reuniting with his co-actor Rajkummar Rao for the third time onscreen

It all started off with the 2011 film ‘Shaitan’ when the two acting talents Gulshan Devaiah and Rajkummar Rao were seen together for the first time onscreen. Their onscreen chemistry and camaraderie were loved so much by the audiences that, the duo graced the silver screen again. This time round, it was the 2022 film ‘Badhaai Do’. What is remarkable about both the films is the fact that, when they were released, they both were appreciated for not just their unique storyline, but also for the acting prowess of its actors.

This time round, Gulshan Devaiah and Rajkummar Rao will be seen together again in yet another film. The film is called ‘Guns & Gulaabs’. While the film is being helmed by the film maker duo Raj and DK, the film will be premiered on the OTT major Netflix.

Speaking about working with Rajkummar Rao once again, Gulshan Devaiah said, "His craft and career are benchmarks for us and he’s an inspiration for all. I have immense respect and admiration for Raj, he’s a flag bearer of sorts for a generation of actors. He blackmailed and assaulted me in Shaitan, we romanced in ‘Badhaai Do’ and let’s just leave it as a surprise as to what we’ll be up to on screen this time around.” Besides Gulshan Devaiah and Rajkummar Rao, Raj and DK’s film ‘Guns & Gulaabs’ also stars Dulquer Salmaan, Adarsh Gourav, and TJ Bhanu. The film is a comedy crime thriller set in the nineties.

As for Gulshan Devaiah, he was recently seen in the critically acclaimed ‘8 A.M. Metro’, in which he was paired opposite Saiyami Kher. Besides this, Gulshan was equally appreciated for his role of a policeman in the Sonakshi Sinha starrer crime thriller ‘Dahaad’. With so much on his plate, it definitely seems like Gulshan Devaiah definitely has a very busy year ahead.
