Even after the loss of loved ones, Laurie Strode is not free from the clutches of masked maniac Michael Myers. Halloween Ends, the sequel to the 2021 film Halloween Kills, will see scream queen Jamie Lee Curtis reprise her role as the iconic final girl, Laurie. The actress recently shared a first look photo from the film, which also featured her co-stars Kyle Richards and Andi Matichak.
Curtis took to her official Instagram handle to share the photograph, which featured the trio sat at a bar table, with red and blue neon lights behind them.
Halloween Kills ended with the unexpected death of a major character, and the upcoming sequel continues after a four year time gap, with Myers still on the run. James Jude Courtney and Nick Castle are expected to return as Myer.
David Gordon Green, who also directed Halloween(2018) and Halloween kills(2021) returns to direct the upcoming film. Jason Blum will produce.
The Halloween film franchise is one of the most popular slasher horror franchises at present. The franchise started with the 1978 film, Halloween, which introduced the character of the iconic serial killer Michael Myers.
The film told the story of a criminally insane murderer who escapes from a sanitarium and terrorises a young woman, Laurie, and the children she has to babysit. The film marked Curtis’ acting debut.
Curtis reprised her role as Laurie in the 2018 film, which takes place 40 years after the first film and is the first instalment in the latest trilogy. Laurie is seen still suffering from the trauma of her first meeting with Myers, which causes rifts between her and her family.
